Our Story

Great Hope Foundation is the initiative of Rev. Dr. Sam Edem and his wife, Kate. It started as a burden to help anyone who was in need or in trouble. This started since 1990 when they married.
Over the years, regardless of the tough situations they found themselves, they never failed to provide charitable services to the needy around them in the way they could. Though many have taken an undue advantage of their passion to deceive and defraud them, their encouragement to continue was stemmed on the fact that whatever service they rendered to anybody was invariably a service rendered to the Lord who will reward everyone according their works.
Without going with a particular name, they have been involving in many charitable services, including giving scholarships to some orphans and less privileged children, helping the widows and orphans with food stuff and clothing, as well as empowering some to learn trade driven January 2020, the founder felt led to set aside part of his family's income to help and empower the needy. As he started doing this, on Monday, 6th April 2020, God gave him a vision to start a full fledged Foundation which is today known as Great Hope Foundation.
